Prose from Behind the Double Paned Glass is a space where I can write about and explore my past, present, and future inside and outside the walls of instituions I have been in since I was barely a teenager.
What this site isn't
It isn't an autobiography or memoir site in any way, shape, or form. While most of the scenarios on this site are based on real people and real events, none of these people exist in the way they do here, and if they do, please note that I try extremely hard to obfuscate every individual I've written about here. If you think you know someone here, please respect their privacy. If you think you know who I am, why don't you shoot me an email. We can chat.
The people, places, and things
Some of the people here I've known in passing, some I had close relationships with, and some I'd literally die for. The places I've been were some of the worst you can find in mental health, and most of the things I've seen and had done to me has taken 30 some years to reduce night terrors of. The nouns don't matter- the sentiment does, the experience does. If you resonate at all, let's talk. I'd be glad to hear from you.
